The Antidepepressant Delusion

In 2001 Irving Kirchhoff a psychologist at the University of Connecticut submitted a FOIA (freedom of information act ) to obtain data submitted from drug companies for the top six antidepressants. The results revealed that the variance in the response between the drugs and the placebos was only two points on average, which he asserts as being clinically “meaningless”, based on evidence that the placebo’s were able to effectively cause the brain to release natural chemicals that were practically as effective as antidepressants
